Disclaimer: Read after Book 1 / Act II.: Captain Cecil and the Rebel
"My Dad came to help us."
We wandered from dawn until the afternoon and got to a cave at Tornbridge. Saif said that it has a giant hall underground, but it isn't widely known so it will be fine if we stay there.

We walked in. And as soon as we got to the hall, we heard footsteps. Metallic sounds maybe on a boot, clinking with each step, echoing in the hall.
"I've figured a druid would know about this place. And exactly a five day trip from The Forgotten Delves"
He was a rather short man. Blond, with glasses, mostly black clothes. Oddly, a light purple umbrella in his hand.
I looked at Saif. There was terror on his face. One that only the great witch would evoke. I looked at the man again. No emotions on his face.
He said he's disappointed in Saif, because he betrayed the Kingdom. But he will not hurt him, he just wants to put me back under the spell. We prepared to fight him, but from Saif's expression I already knew that it was impossible.

Another man entered the hall. It was him. My Dad came to help us. As soon as I saw him, my heart was filled with such warmth that I wanted to cry.

What?

No..

He's not my Dad. What? Why did I think that? After seeing his face markings and his hair, he was certainly of another race. Nothing in common.
"The rebel", is what they called him. I don't know who he is, but he seemed to be on our side for some reason.

We all fought the Captain, but we couldn't win. He evaded all of our attacks, and if not, then shielded himself with that umbrella. His electric attacks didn't even let us get close to him. Saif used a strong flash of light to attack. He summoned light before, when we were outside at night. Maybe controlling light is his speciality.

The rebel was blinded.

We left my Dad there. He was blinded, he was sitting on the ground and he was panicking. He was left alone against the Captain.
